MATERIALS
TESACOM specializes in creating packaging solutions for shirts, combining functionality, elegance, and attention to detail. The company carefully selects specific materials to protect and enhance each garment, offering packaging that meets the demands of the fashion market and the most discerning brands. Below is an overview of the main materials used by TESACOM, with their characteristics and applications.
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
Transparent and glossy film, often used as a protective cover for folded shirts. It gives a neat and professional appearance, protecting against dust and moisture.
PPL (Cast and Bioriented Polypropylene)
Cast (CPP): Flexible and transparent film, ideal for wrapping folded garments thanks to its sealability.
Bioriented (BOPP): More rigid, shiny, and resistant, used for higher-quality packaging with decorative or informative printing.
PLT (Polyethylene Film)
Economical and versatile film, used for transparent protective bags or temporary covers. It offers protection against dust and moisture, often in LDPE version.
Mitsubishi Film Type WN, RN, WO / Toray Film
High-performance technical films, with specific finishes (matte, glossy, anti-condensation, printable). Used in premium packaging or customized solutions for high-end shirts.
Biodegradable Film
Sustainable alternative to conventional plastic. Used for transparent covers or compostable bags in line with the brand’s eco-friendly policies.
Oxo-degradable PLA
Film with characteristics similar to traditional plastic but designed to degrade with exposure to light and oxygen. Used when a plastic film-like appearance is required but with better environmental impact.
Polystyrene (PS)
Used in rigid inserts to maintain the shirt’s shape (collars, folds), or as a thermoformed base for rigid packaging. Available in expanded or compact versions.
Tissue Paper
Very thin paper used to directly wrap shirts, protecting them and giving a refined touch. Available in white, colored, or printed versions.
Gr.22, Gr.26 (Light Tissue Paper)
Typical weights for lightweight tissue paper.
22 gsm: extremely thin, used to protect delicate fabrics without leaving marks.
26 gsm: slightly more resistant, suitable for cotton or linen shirts.
Monte Bianco Gr.20, 30, 40 and 60
White coated paper, used as interlayer, inner band, or for wrapping.
20-30 gsm: very light, for internal protection.
40-60 gsm: stiffer, used for bands or decorative supports.
Cardboard 350, 450, and 500 Gsm – Art.047
Thick cardboard for creating internal supports, packaging bases, or tags.
Gr.350-500: the higher the thickness, the greater the rigidity.
Art.047: possible reference to a standard model of shaped cardboard for shirts.
Semiglossy 350 Gsm
Glossy cardboard on both sides, used for bands, covers, or packaging with a shiny effect. Medium-high thickness, often coupled with printing.
Paper 250 Gsm
Sturdy paper, used for bands, rigid bases, or customized elements in packaging. It can be printed, embossed, or varnished.
